Through hardships, to the stars
House Harrelson
Five values · Three generations · One line
Touch a star. Each is an oath sworn, not an ornament worn.
THE SECOND GENERATION
Ethen Harrelson
Father · Husband · Son
I am the second of my name to carry this house forward. What was placed in my hands, I intend to multiply and return greater than it was given. This record stands as the charter of what we mean to become.
Nothing here was inherited easily. A house is raised the way all things worth keeping are raised — deliberately, in the dark hours, by those who rise again the following morning. What follows is what we are building toward, and the sky we build it under.
Kept close
Older voices
Two thousand years before any man wrote of rising, the Stoics had already said it plainly: the road to the stars runs uphill, and it is cut by hand.
The shelves
What we are reading
Anyone in the house can keep one.
Tonight
Stand under your sky
The same stars that kept watch over Rome stand above this house tonight. Sunset and sunrise for the exact ground beneath your feet, the constellations holding vigil, and a map you may turn with your thumb. Go and stand beneath it.
